The Highway 24 Garage Sales stretch more than 300 miles of two-lane highway — from Glen Elder in north-central Kansas all the way to Bethune in eastern Colorado — turning the corridor into an open-air market across 30+ communities for three full days.
What started in 2016 as three small towns coordinating their city-wide sales on the same weekend quickly grew into something much bigger. Word spread fast — that first year, communities from Glen Elder to Bethune all signed on. The event has been growing ever since, with hundreds of registered garage sales and participating businesses spread across the Kansas plains and eastern Colorado each year.
