The Lincoln Highway Buy-Way is a three-day yard sale that runs the historic Lincoln Highway across northern Ohio — the old route now carried by US-30. It follows the byway from East Liverpool on the eastern edge near the Ohio River, west through Canton, Wooster, Mansfield, and Bucyrus, on toward Lima and beyond. Communities the whole length of the corridor set up sales, from the smallest villages to the larger cities, and the count runs into the hundreds of individual sellers across the route.
The Lincoln Highway was the first transcontinental road across the United States, and the Ohio stretch carries that history through farm country, county seats, and old downtowns. The goods reflect generations settled along the same road: farm tools, advertising and roadside memorabilia, vintage hardware, and the kind of mid-century furniture and kitchenware that has stayed in local hands rather than passing through a dealer.
Canton sits in the eastern half and makes a practical base for working the busiest stretch through Stark and Wayne counties. Most sales open early and run through the day; check the official byway map at historicbyway.com for registered sale locations before you head out, since towns are added to the route as the event approaches.
This route runs through these anchor towns. Drive any segment, or the whole route — most folks pick a stretch and work their way through it.
