The US 25 Yard Sale stretches 200 miles through the heart of Kentucky every first weekend of June, running from Walton in the north — just south of Cincinnati — all the way down to Williamsburg near the Tennessee border. More than 100 yard sales line the corridor, making it one of the densest per-mile sale events in the southeast.
US-25 is one of Kentucky's oldest north-south routes, running through the Bluegrass and into the mountains before the interstates took over. That history shows in what turns up at the sales: Appalachian folk pieces, old farm tools, quilts, and a lot of the glassware and kitchenware that made its way into rural Kentucky households across the last century.
Grant County hosts a kickoff sale on Thursday June 4th for early birds willing to drive north first. The main event runs Friday and Saturday the 5th and 6th — two days to work 200 miles of two-lane Kentucky.
The 127 corridor runs through these anchor cities. Drive any segment, or the whole route — most folks pick a state and work their way through it.
