5 named anchor towns along the corridor — vendors set up at and along these communities. No central registry for this event; drive the corridor day-of and watch for signs.

Why town markers, not addresses? This event doesn't maintain a central vendor registry — vendors set up along the route on event weekend without registering centrally. The towns above mark the corridor structure across 35 miles. Plan to drive through each and watch for signs.
The Kentucky Highway 52 Yard Sale is one of Eastern Kentucky's most beloved summer traditions, returning every Fourth of July weekend. Running roughly 50 miles along Kentucky Highway 52, it threads through Breathitt, Lee, Estill, and Madison counties, drawing thousands of shoppers, collectors, and travelers to the communities strung along the corridor.
This is Appalachian sale country, so expect antiques and collectibles, vintage signs and advertising, tools and farm equipment, furniture, handmade crafts, and plenty of church and community fundraiser tables. The two busiest stretches are the St. Helens community on the eastern side of Lee County, traditionally a nearly continuous line of sales, and historic downtown Beattyville, which serves as the central hub with parking, restrooms, food, and the Kentucky River waterfront nearby. The Beartrack area on the western side of Lee County is another popular cluster, especially for tools, farm items, and outdoor gear.
There is no central online vendor map or registry. Individual sellers list through the local Three Forks Tradition newspaper, so the best plan is to drive the corridor between Jackson and Irvine and watch for roadside signs. Most sales open early and run through the day on July 3 and 4. Cap the trip with the fireworks display at dusk over Happy Top Park in Beattyville on the Fourth.
This route runs through these anchor towns. Drive any segment, or the whole route — most folks pick a stretch and work their way through it.

Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, 2026. The event runs the Fourth of July weekend each year, with most sales opening early and running through the day.
Along Kentucky Highway 52 for approximately 50 miles, connecting communities in Breathitt, Lee, Estill, and Madison counties. The corridor runs from Jackson on the east through Beattyville (Lee County) and on to Ravenna and Irvine (Estill County) toward the Madison County line.
There is no central online vendor map. Individual sellers register through the local Three Forks Tradition newspaper, so sales are not listed in one place online. The best approach is to drive the KY-52 corridor and watch for roadside signs. The St. Helens community and downtown Beattyville are the busiest, highest-concentration stretches.
Downtown Beattyville makes a practical home base, with parking, public restrooms, dining, and easy access to the route in both directions. From there, work east toward the St. Helens community or west toward Beartrack, Ravenna, and Irvine. Bring cash, since many individual sellers do not accept cards.
Yes. On July 4, Beattyville hosts a Fourth of July celebration at Happy Top Park with a splash park, activities, food, and a fireworks display at dusk (around 9:45 p.m.) over the Kentucky River valley, making it an easy way to cap off a day of treasure hunting.
