The Wilton City-Wide Garage Sale is the fall half of a twice-a-year tradition run by the Wilton Chamber & Development Alliance — households across Wilton, Iowa open up on the same days, and the Chamber publishes a single map of everyone taking part. September 2026 is when the bulk of it runs, though a handful of sellers open early on the Wednesday and several others run Friday and Saturday only.
Wilton sits in Muscatine County on the eastern Iowa prairie, a town of a few thousand between the Quad Cities and Iowa City. That size is exactly what makes the sale worth driving for: a compact residential grid you can walk a good chunk of, wrapped in acreages and rural roads where the bigger multi-family clearouts tend to be. This year's map also reaches into neighbouring Moscow, a few miles west — those stops are on here too, because they registered with Wilton.

September 2026. The Wilton Chamber & Development Alliance runs a city-wide sale twice a year — once in the spring and once in the fall — but it does not publish a single fixed set of hours. A few sellers open the Wednesday evening beforehand, and a number run Friday and Saturday only, so check the individual stop before you drive to it.
The Chamber publishes its official map at wiltoniowa.org, and every registered address on it is mapped here — each with the seller's own description of what they're selling, how many families are taking part at that address, and the days they said they'd be open.
Sellers register with the Chamber right up to the date, so the count grows through the week of the sale. Many of the addresses are multi-family — several list three to five households selling together at one stop, which is usually where there's the most to dig through — and at least one is a full estate sale.
Yes. Some sellers on the Chamber's map are in Moscow, a few miles west of Wilton on the way toward Atalissa. They registered with the Wilton sale and are open the same days, so they're included here — worth folding into your route rather than treating as a separate trip.
